The past year has been rough on account of COVID and we have complained about doing the same routine over and again, I have been guilty of this from time to time and its about time to appreciate the normalcy.
The last one week, Texas along with few neighboring states had hit by a snow storm and had been hard on many of us with no power, water leakages, frozen pipes, plummeting temperatures, minimal heating, fireplaces inconveniences and so much snow. 10 + inches of snow are nothing for the eastern folks, Texas cities are not prepared for this handle. The cities aren’t equipped with snow ploughs, roads are not salted in preparedness or cleared. Our power grids do not form a part of the regulatory national grid, there is no emergency planning for inclement weather, schools and local businesses shut down, no mail delivery, COVID vaccine centers closed and every Texan driver has no clue on how to handle things on road.

YET, it has been gratifying to see our friends reach out for help, numerable phone calls, provide warm food, open their hearts and doors to us, who need the most. Communities getting together and offering help, Temples and various Church s distributing warmers, food and drinking water, every WhatsApp group sharing quick information guide from plumbers to local help, folks volunteering to assist the flooding homes.
Kids here had no clue of the power outage and it was a task to help them understand, whereas power outages were a part of our growing up. Candlelight dinners, families gathering to cook together while the kids having an extended sleep over were a common sight this past week. It was overwhelming to see each ones auxiliary and caring nature.

NOW, we are so thankful and glad, everything looks so normal just a week after the SNOWVID 2021.Thank you each one of you who checking us multiple times and so grateful to have friends like family 😊.
